Earless Monitor
The earless monitor has been an elusive lizard. Before 1961 only 10 had been found and little was
known about this flesh-eating lizard. The elusiveness
of this creature can perhaps be attributed to its choice of habitat. The earless monitor lives quite deep
underground and is active only in the middle of the night. They are deep brown and have warty skin,
which allows this lizard perfect camouflage in the dark soil. MORE!
