Sorry, No Picture! Multimammate rats are unique in the number of teats found on the female. Rats and mice usually have a maximum of 5 pairs of teats, the multimammate however has 8 to 10 pairs. These teats run from just below the armpit to the groin. The multimammate rat is, otherwise, very similar to the ship rat. The fur is soft and brown in colour with white underparts. The size of the body ranges from 4 to 6 inches, excluding the length of the tail. MORE! [BM] {FW}
