Sorry, No Picture! Found in Africa, multimammate rats reproduce very quickly during the wet season. In years when their numbers have greatly ballooned these rats are greatly feared not only for the damage done to crops and stored food but for the danger of bubonic plague which they carry. Rats live in close association with humans and explosions in the rat poputaion have lead to fatal epidemics. [BM] {FW}
