Saiga

Sorry, No Picture! The saiga and chiru are closely related. Both have a nasal feature which makes them quite unique among the family of antelope. The nasal cavity of both species is large and puffy. Lined by moist mucus membranes the air which passes through this cavernous space is warmed and moistened. In this way these species are able to live in a cold and arid climate. The saiga stands approximately 30 to 32 inches in height and can weigh up to 100 lbs. MORE! [BM] {FW}
