The Cape buffalo is known to be one of the most dangerous and frightening of all animals in Africa. Huge herds of Cape buffalo are known to stampede when frightened. They are known to gore their victim to death until it has become an unrecognizable pulp, and they are known to pass a victim around from one pair of horns to another, until the victim has died. These imposing animals are heavy built, standing 4 to 5 feet at the shoulder and weighing nearly 1 ton. [BM] {FW}
