Brucite
Brucite is also known as magnesium hydroxide; this compound usually contains manganese and
iron. It varies in colour, being white, gray, blue, or green. Brucite can be found in nature in
metamorphic rocks. This semi-rare mineral has been found in localities including Quebec,
Canada, and Russia. Industrially, brucite is mined for its metallic magnesium content.
