Octopus 2
These shy and solitary animals have several defense mechanisms. First, they have the ability to change
colour quickly to blend in with the background. Second, they can release a dark ink-like substance,
confusing predators. Octopus are commonly eaten by people in the Mediterranean, the Far East and
by inhabitants of the South Pacific.
