The Long-nosed snake ranges in size from 56cm to 104cm in length. The colours, as seen in this photograph, are vibrant black, creme and red. The Long-nosed snake is primarily active at night, hiding in crevices during the daylight hours feeding on rodents, lizards and snakes. The Long-nosed snake can be found in dry prairies and desert brushland. This species is found in the southwestern region of the United States. [BM] {AS}
