Pit Viper
The Pit Viper has specially adapted heat sensors on each side of its snout which can detect heat. These
heat sensors are deeply grooved and are called pits. The Pit Viper is extremely sensitive to even slight
changes in temperature. This adaptation allows this snake to follow the trail of warm blooded animals
even when out of sight. MORE!
