Bullsnake
The Bullsnake is an attractive snake with 41 or more black, brown or rust coloured blotches. This
pattern lays across a soft yellow ground colour, creating a beautiful contrast. Not apparent in this photograph,
the Bullsnake has a dark line which runs from the eye to the edge of the jaw. Bullsnakes often hide within
animal burrows or under the darkened safety of rotting logs and large rocks. Bullsnakes range from southern
Alberta as far south as northeast Mexico.
