Stick-nest Rat
There are 3 species of stick-nest rat. These rats range in size from 5.5 to 8 inches, with an
additional 10 inches of long, hairy tail in the largest of the stick-nest rats. The stick-nest rat is also
commonly called the rabbit-rat for its large ears and blunt muzzle. The fur of the stick-nest rat is
soft and thick, light yellow to grey brown in colour with grey or white underparts. This rodent is
best known for its habit of building extremely large stick habitations. MORE!
