Sorry, No Picture! This singular species, known as the marmoset rat, is dependent on a specific species of bamboo. The bamboo is used as shelter and food and if it were to die off the marmoset rat would surely die. The marmoset rat is 6 inches in length, with an additional 7.5 inches of tail. The body of this rodent is plump and the fur is soft and silky. The muzzle is quite blunt; the ears are large and the eyes are shiny and black. Marmoset rats are rare, found primarily in Indo-China.
