Snowshoe Rabbit
In Canada and in the northern United States the snowshoe
rabbit is quite common. Smaller than the common hare, the snowshoe rabbit reaches only 16
inches in length. The snowshoe rabbit is distinguished by its pure white winter coat and matted
fur feet, creating little snowshoes. The snowshoe rabbit is a hare and as all hares is well known
for its breeding habits.
