While they run they will bark at even intervals. Most animals which live in herds let out a warning cry or bark
when there is a threat. The muntjac, however, is a solitary animal and the warning bark is a most
peculiar feature. These shy animals feed at dusk and dawn, hiding in thickets during the daylight
