Markhor 2
Markhors live in small herds, numbering no more
than 5 members. Like their relatives, the ibex, they live on sharp, steep rocky slopes. The markhor,
however, inhabits a lower range than the ibex, usually being found between 4,500 and 8,000 ft.
Markhors fall prey to snow leopards, wolves and bears. Markhors are found in Pakistan, Kashmir,
Turkmenia and in the mountain of the Hindu Kush.
