Eland
There are 2 species of eland: the common eland and this very rare derby eland. Elands are the
largest species of antelope reaching up to 6 feet at the shoulder and up to 13 feet long.
These heavy built animals are graced by gently spiralled horns which can reach lengths of 4 feet.
The eland is fairly unique as both the male and female have horns. The coat of the common eland
is greyish brown; whereas that of the derby eland is a soft brown. MORE!
