Formula 1 and Indy
Cars are low, wedge-shaped machines with powerful rear engines and wide tires. Formula 1
cars are
technically 5 years ahead of Indy Car development in suspension and chassis design.
Indy Cars run 850 hp engines
whereas
Formula 1 cars run approx. 650 hp engines. Also,
Formula 1 cars are much lighter than Indy Cars and therefore respond to
steering and braking
