Indy Car racing
developed in 1911 with the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the site of the first Indianapolis
500. Indy
cars are like formula racers with average speeds of 320kmh (200mph). In this
photograph an Indy car is being
refueled.
Winston Cup Stock cars are based on normal
cars, but only the body shapes resemble them with 650 hp motors,
advanced
tires, suspension
and speeds exceeding 240kmh (150mph). Back to Auotracing.
