Barite
Barite (barium sulphate) is a mineral that may be blue, red, yellow, gray, or white. It is quite
common, occurring in nature with minerals such as calcite, quartz, and gypsum. This barium
bearing mineral can be found throughout the world, notably in England, Romania, and Italy.
Barite is the world's primary source of barium.
