Anhydrite
Anhydrite (calcium sulphate) occurs as a white, gray, or red mineral. It is found in chemical
sedimentary rock environments, and with minerals such as gypsum and halite. Substantial
quantities of anhydrite occur in the south-central United States, and in Europe. It is mined for its
sulphate content.
