Zincite, or zinc oxide, is a reddish-orange simple oxide. The reddish colour is probably due to the presence of manganese. It can be found along with franklinite and willemite. This rare mineral has been found in New Jersey, USA, and in Italy. It is mined as a zinc source. [LM] {CC} {SS}
