Olivenite (basic arsenate of copper) is an olive-green arsenate containg copper. It is quite brittle and easily dissolves in hydrochloric acid. This semi-rare mineral is found in nature associated with other minerals containing copper, such as malachite and azurite. Locations of olivenite include Cornwall, England, and Namibia.
