Lemon Lily
Lemon Lily Hemerocallis flava is an Asian species that may be found
growing wild in Canada, having escaped from gardens. It is not a member of
the true lilies (Lilium species) which have different leaf
arrangements. The leaves of Lemon Lily are long and sword-shaped and are
not in whorls or arranged alternately up the stem as they are in species of
Lilium. This yellow-flowered plant is closely related to the orange
Day Lily.
