HELP INDEX NEXT UP PREVIOUS FEEDBACK ATG Order Eriocaulales

Pipewort in shallow water The Pipewort Family (Eriocaulaceae) is the only family in Order Eriocaulales. Pipeworts have very small flowers clustered in dense heads at the tips of the flowering stems. All the plant's leaves grow from the base of the stem in the form of a rosette. The Pipewort shown here grows in shallow water with its leaves underwater and the flowers sticking up into the air so that the pollen can be blown away by the wind. [CH] {EN}
