Pipewort plant in wet mud Pipewort Eriocaulon aquaticum is a marsh plant with a basal clump of grass-like leaves. It grows around the margins of ponds and in shallow water. Its greyish-white flowers are clustered in a woolly head at the top of a bare stalk, and the stamens and pistils are in separate flowerets.
