HELP INDEX NEXT UP PREVIOUS FEEDBACK ATG Family Bromeliaceae

Bromeliad rosette Members of the Pineapple Family (Bromeliaceae) are mainly tropical plants with firm narrow leaves that often have spiny margins. Bromeliads grow on the ground or on other plants (epiphytes). Many of the epiphytes have no roots and just use the tree they are on as a place to grow. These plants often have folds in their leaves which can hold water after a rain for the plant to use. Creatures such as frogs may also use these reservoirs of water. [CH] {FW}
