Buckbean
Buckbean Menyanthes trifoliata has leaves that are
divided into three oval leaflets unlike most members of
the Gentian Family which have undivided (simple)
leaves. The Buckbean flower has white or pinkish
petals that are fringed with hairs on the inside surface.
Clusters of flowers and the three-lobed leaves grow up
from the shallow water of bogs and marshes.
