Blue Cohosh
Blue Cohosh Caulophyllum thalictroides is a knee-high plant of North
American woods. When young it is a dull-purple with a whitish coating. Its
leaves are divided into leaflets and its yellowish-green flowers are in small
clusters. Later these develop into clusters of dark blue berries. The
Ojibway name for this plant is 'Zheegimaewibug' (the old separated one).
