Broad-leaved Dock
Broad-leaved Dock Rumex obtusifolius is commonly
seen along roadsides and in waste places. It has tall
branched clusters of greeny-brown flowers and
red-brown fruits. Each fruit has a covering with teeth on
the edges which is one of the features that distinguishes
this species from Curled Dock Rumex crispus.
Another obvious difference between these species is in
the shape of the leaves which are broader in Rumex
obtusifolius.
