Order Polygalales
There are about 2,300 species in Order Polygalales which is divided into
seven families. The flowers are irregular in shape and the petals often
have a claw at the base. This is a very diverse order which includes
shrubs, small trees, non-woody herbs and climbing vines. Most have simple
(undivided) leaves.
