Field Milkwort
Field Milkwort Polygala sanguinea grows in fields and open woods. It
has simple narrow leaves and clover-like clusters of pink or whitish
flowers at the tips of stem branches. The tiny individual flowers in a
cluster are typical of the Milkwort Family in having 5 sepals two of which
(the wings) are larger and coloured like the petals.
