Blueberries

Blueberries belong to the genus Vaccinium. Many are low-growing shrubby plants with warty stems and deciduous leaves. They have clusters of bell-shaped flowers that develop into edible blue or black berries which are a favourite food for bears in the late summer. There are several species of blueberry and they form hybrids which makes identification difficult. [CH] {WP}
