Canada Thistle
Canada Thistle Cirsium arvense is a European native
despite its name but it is the most common thistle in
northeastern North America. It has creeping roots and
branching stems which are not prickly. The leaves have
spiny margins and the flowering heads are pale
pinkish-purple.
