Bull Thistle Cirsium vulgare grows in fields and along roadsides. The flowers are pinkish purple gathered in large heads on stems that can be more than a metre high. The plant has spiny stems and prickly leaves. This thistle is native to Europe and Asia and has become established in North America. [CH] {GW}
