Hart's Tongue Fern
Hart's Tongue Fern Phyllitis scolopendrium doesn't look much like a
typical fern. It has simple undivided leaves which are long and shiny and
shaped like the tongue of a deer. There are eight species in the world but
in most places this is a pretty rare fern. The fruitdots or sori are long
brown masses along the veins of the leaf on its under-surface.
