Chain Ferns
The Chain Ferns Woodwardia grow mostly in northern temperate
regions. They have creeping stems which produce long-stalked leaves that
grow up at intervals. The fruit dots look a bit like chains of sausages
running parallel to the midrib under each fertile leaflet. The picture is
of Giant Chain Fern Woodwardia fimbriata.
