The goby fish lives predominantly in marine waters and inhabits areas where there are many crevices for quick retreat. Many goby are bottom dwellers, inhabiting rocky shorelines. This sailfin goby inhabits a sandy burrow. Although there is little commercial value for the goby fish it is important as a food staple for many other marine inhabitants. [BM] {FW}
