Butterfish
The butterfish, a type of blenny, has received its name for its extremely slimy skin. Reaching lengths
of 15 cm the butterfish can be found in tidal areas of the North Atlantic. At low tide the butterfish
hides in damp crevices, at higher tides the butterfish swims through the shallow waters. Butterfish
have elongated, eel-like bodies, decorated with dark spots. MORE!
