Bluefish

Although reaching only 38 cm in length the bluefish is known as a voracious fish. Chopping madly at schools of fish, the bluefish leaves a trail of blood and fish until satiated. These dead fish, often with only one part bitten away, are quickly eaten by the fish which follow the schools of bluefish. This blue-green fish inhabits tropical and subtropical waters. They are fast moving and valuable commercially and as sport fish. [BM] {FW}
