Sorry, No Picture! There are 9 species of scalytails. Little is known about the scalytail as they live in the forest canopy in very inhospitable forests of West and central Africa. Even local people are unable to shed much light on this small mammal. Scalytails range in size from several inches to about 10 inches in length.
