Muskrat 2

Muskrats are commonly found in marshes, rivers and lakes where they feed on water vegetation and can quickly escape their many predators with a quick dive below the surface. Muskrats are able to stay submerged for about 15 minutes However, this duration is uncommon. The Newfoundland muskrat is found exclusively on the island of Newfoundland, while the common muskrat is found throughout Canada, southward to Baja California in Mexico. [BM] {FW}
