Chimpanzee 3
Chimpanzees live in very loosely bonded troops; the strongest bond being between
mothers and their dependents. The troop is dominated by a male, who claims his hierarchical
position through age. Chimpanzees eat meat, fruits, roots and trees. This group of
chimpanzees are cleaning one another. The young chimpanzee is carefully guarded by the others.
The singular species of chimpanzee is found in the tropical rain forests of Africa. Back to Chimpanzee.
