Grevy's zebra can further be distinguished by its rather large, rounded ears and tall height. This species of zebra forms family groups as well as bachelor groups. The largest and most powerful male zebra's, or stallions, live solitary lives. These lone stallions may weigh up to 1000 lb. This species ranges from Somalia to eastern Ethiopia to northern Kenya.
