Ass
There are several species of ass. These species, the Equus asinus and the Equus hemionus, are
members of the wild horse family. They range in size from 3 to 4 1/2 feet at the shoulder and have
sturdy frames. They are characterized by their large, erect ears, tufted tail and legs which are often
zebra striped. The coat of the ass is brownish grey. If wild asses still exist is questionable as they
have bred with domesticated donkeys gone wild. MORE!
