Hyrax

The hyrax is an anomaly within the animal kingdom. It is no larger than a rabbit, however it is most closely related to the elephant, the largest of the animals. There are 12 species of hyrax, the largest species reaching 18 inches in length. They are heavy bodied animals, with short limbs, small ears and short muzzle.
