Cacomistle
The cacomistle is a relative of the raccoon. With a ringed tail reaching up to 17 inches in length, the
similarities between the cacomistle and the raccoon are apparent. The body of the cacomistle is
long and slender, reaching up to 2 1/2 feet in length. The fur is soft brown in colour, with whitish
underparts. This fur is quite valuable and is sold under the name of California mink or civet cat
fur. The ears of the cacomistle are quite large, resembling those of a fox. MORE!
