Caracal

The caracal, or desert lynx, is a beautiful wild cat. The length of the head and body is approximately 2 ft long. The tail is only 10 inches in length and the caracal is quite lank, weighing a maximum of 18 lbs. The coat of the caracal is short and brownish-red in colour. The cat-like face is crowned by large ears with a long ear tuft, like those of the lynx. Caracal feed on a wide variety of animals including antelope, rodents and other small mammals. MORE! [BM] {FW}
