Beach Fox
The beach fox is believed to be a second species of the grey fox. Like the grey fox, the beach fox
is an excellent climber. Unlike the common grey fox the beach fox searches the
beaches for food. The beach fox breeds once per year, rearing its litter in a den
among the cacti. Beach foxes are found exclusively on certain islands off southern California.
