Grey foxes are also commonly called tree foxes as they show incredible climbing ability. Although climbing trees is not uncommon among foxes, and many wily foxes have outsmarted hunters by hiding in tree foliage, the grey fox is particulary agile, even able to cling, like a cat, using the forelegs.
