Reedbuck 2
When there is danger the does retreat first followed by the bucks. Bounding across
the plains they try to make a quick escape. Common reedbucks form small herds which number
approximately a dozen members. As a herd they travel across the open land, grazing and
browsing. Lambs are born throughout the year. For protection the lamb must lie motionless until it has grown. The 3
species of reedbucks are found in the region north of the Sahara in Africa.
